I specialise in repairing guitar and bass amplifiers (both valve and solid-state) but have experience working on a vast range of instruments and equipment.

Marshall Blues Breaker. Found lying dormant in the customer's loft, this guy needed a good clean and service. There are worse things to find lurking in the loft, I guess! Victory The Baron. I rarely see Victory amps, and when I do, the faults are usually unrelated to circuit design, poor components etc, which makes for a welcome change. This one had a broken winding on the reverb driver transformer and a bad reverb tube. All buttoned up and back on the road. Blackstar HT 5. Different colour, same old problem. Deja vu hits harder than with some models of amp... Do you have two left feet? Then you may need Dr Rhythm! This wee chap needed a full recap to regain full output volume and functionality. Hohner Clavinet-Pianet Duo. The story goes that it was once borrowed by @badlydrawnboyofficial and hasn't worked since! Someone had been poking around the onboard preamp power supply, but putting the correct components back in got it working (surprise, surprise!). 1967 Vox Ultrasonic. More bells and whistles that you can shake a stick at! A regular customer bought this as a birthday present and asked me to cast my eye over it. I'm back!
